Our commitment to the correct application of slurries as fertiliser is obvious as the first company in the UK to import and operate the Kaweco/Xerion combination. Call us now on 01869 338307 to find out more about our agricultural machinery, or email us at mail@rcbagricontractors.co.uk.

This combination is the only way to move and apply large volumes of liquid accurately. With the new NVZ rules now in force it is more important than ever to ensure you can prove where and when slurries were applied and at what quantities.

Despite the size of the Kaweco tanker it is surprisingly light on its feet thanks to some clever Dutch engineering and the correct wheel and tyre equipment.

The Kaweco tanker is capable of accurately applying slurry as, unlike other tankers on the markert, it does not rely on a vacuum pump and the rate of application can be varied from the operators seat. As the machine is steered by a GPS system overlap is eliminated.

As featured in Farmer's Weekly: There are some pieces of kit you just can't help but be impressed by, and the 16m long Class Xerion 3800 Trac coupled to the Dutch-made Kaweco slurry injector is one of them.

Oxfordshire contractor Charlie Baker is the first in the UK to run the massive combination, first shown at Grassland and Muck last year.Having taken delivery of the rig in October, Mr Baker hopes to have it back on duty as soon as possible after the closed period for slurry spreading ends on the 15 January, should the weather warm up a bit.  Click here to read more.......

The results of correct and accurate application of slurry is obvious from this picture.

The grass on the left was treated with bagged fertiliser whereas on the right, slurry was applied. Both applications were done at the same time and the picture taken one month later. The results from injecting slurry not only improve the grass growth but also the sward thickness as you are applying all the nutrients required by the plant and therefore plant reaction to this kind of fertiliser is far faster.

We have two application options with the Kaweco. The first is to apply with the 7.5m Injector, which is used mainly on grassland and stubbles prior to cultivation. Then there is the 15m Bomec Dribble Bar for application to standing arable crops, reducing the need for as much bagged fertiliser. By applying to the base of the plant or injecting the slurry just into the surface there is no run off and leaching of nitrogen to the atmosphere is reduced by 20%. In addition, the smell of slurry during application is significantly less causing fewer problems when close to residential areas.

Filling time for the Kaweco is just two and a half minutes thanks to the Turbo Arm. This is a hydraulically controlled suction arm fitted to the top of the tanker with twin six inch pipes.
